Season Overview: A tough year for the Naracoorte A Grade in 2024. The team suffered a big amount of player loss in the off-season and it showed during the year as they struggled to stay competitive for most games. Coach Sam Logan pulled on the boots to help with the numbers as the team were short on experienced players. The key now is to keep bringing through the talented younger players and keep adding more experienced players to the squad to help the team rise up the ladder again. Matt Willson completed a consistent year winning the best and fairest and making the team of the year. Another highlight of the season was seeing Gary East getting the chance to play an A Grade game with his son Blake.

Reserves

Leading Goal Kickers: Jeff Sellars 7, Brett Gould 5, Hayden Bennier 3, Jack Steadman 3, Sam Leehane 3, Max Midwinter 3, Drew Myall 3.

Most Times In The Best: Ken Sisson 10, Harrison Taylor 10, Geoffrey Slattery 8, Riley Fergusson 6, George Hood 4, Xavier Mitchell 4, Mitchell Tidy 4, Gary East 4

Best and Fairest: Harry Taylor

Season Overview: A bit like the A Grade, the Reserves team struggled to stay competitive in most games. The loss of players from the senior squad saw the team bring in some “legends” to fill the team most weeks and it helped get a team on the park for every game. The team had a close contest in round one where they went down by 12 points to Padthaway. Round 14 was when the Demons ended the losing streak in a big win over Border Districts. The Demons recorded an 11 goal victory on that day. With more recruits joining the A Grade, there should be better depth in 2025 and that should see the reserves be more competitive and get a few more wins.

Senior Colts

Win-Loss Record: 16-1

Leading Goal Kickers: Matthew Maney 43, William Krieger 30, Harry White 28, Zach Boston 20, Thomas Taylor 20, George Pretlove 16, Riley McMullan 16, Darcy duRand 11

Most Times In The Best: Quentin Mitchell 11, Matthew Maney 10, Jack duRand 10, Harry Pettman 9, Zach Boston 7, Harry White 7, George Pretlove 7

Best and Fairest: Matthew Maney

Season Overview: A dominant season by the Naracoorte senior colts in 2024 saw them lose only one game for the year and go back to back after winning the 2023 grand final. The young Demons brought up the “mercy” rule ten times during the regular season against the opposition as they played a brand of football that was team-first and great to watch in full flight. This is the main reason why you can see the A Grade turning things around quickly if they can keep most of the stars of this team at the club in the coming years. Matthew Maney capped off a great year by finishing runner up in the KNTFL league medal and also won the KNTFL goal kicking award for the senior colts.

Junior Colts

Win-Loss Record: 14-2

Leading Goal Kickers: Rueben Woolley 22, Archer Woosnam 17, Ashton Reti 14, Sid Ebert 9, Cooper Mott 9, Nate Henderson 7, Max Rush 7, Barney Logan 7

Most Times In The Best: Sid Ebert 14, Rueben Woolley 14, Max Lush 14, Archer Woosnam 11, Billy White 6, Barney Logan 5

Best and Fairest: Rueben Woolley

Season Overview: Naracoorte won their third premiership in a row in the junior colts after they downed a very good and determined Border Districts on grand final day. The Demons capped off another strong season by holding off the Eagles in extra time. The club keeps producing quality young players and again the team was full of young stars. Rueben Woolley produced a great season and was rewarded when he won the KNTFL league medal. Rueben played in 15 games and was named in the best players in 14 of them. The team had a great spread of goal kickers during the season and this made them hard to stop in most games.
